Tumon Bay
If your coming to Guam on vacation your most
likely going to be spending some time on one of the beaches in
Tumon Bay. Tumon Bay is a wonderful part of the island
which allows for some great swimming, snorkeling, and water
activities. The bay is protected by a coral reef which
stretches out about a mile-off from shore. The reef
protects the bay from the pounding waves of the Pacific Ocean
making the waters in Tumon Bay very calm. In most areas
within the bay the waters are fairly shallow and you can walk
out about a mile towards the edge of the coral reef if you
feel adventurous. Just be very cautious if you plan on
walking out to the edge of the reef as large waves will often
crash over the reef and can pull you out into the ocean.
